Better Reno

Terms of use

These terms are for using Better Reno (app.betterreno.com.au). By signing in you agree to them. If you use Better Reno for a business, you agree for that business.

Early use

Better Reno is in early use: builders join by invitation and there is no charge for now. Features may change, and we may add, change or stop parts of it. If paid plans come in, we will tell you the price first, and nothing is charged unless you agree to it.

Your account

  • Keep your password, authenticator and recovery codes to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your login and for the people you add to your team.
  • Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into your account.
  • You must be 18 or over and give true details.

Your data

  • Your company’s data (price list, quotes, jobs, clients, files) is yours. You give Better Reno permission to keep and process it only to run Better Reno for you.
  • You are responsible for having the right to enter your clients’, suppliers’ and team’s details, and for telling them how you use them.
  • You can download all your data at any time (Settings → Import and export) and ask us to close your account and delete it.
  • How we handle personal information is in the privacy policy.

Using it properly

  • Do not try to get into another company’s data, break or overload Better Reno, or use it for anything unlawful.
  • Do not send anyone emails or links through Better Reno that they would not expect from your business.
  • We may switch off an account that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk, and will tell you why.

Your quotes and prices

Better Reno helps you work out quantities, prices and schedules, but you are responsible for checking every quote, invoice, variation, schedule and document before you send it or rely on it, and for meeting the building and consumer laws that apply to your work. Starting figures Better Reno suggests (rates, materials per square metre and the like) are a starting point only.

Outside services

If you connect an outside service (for example Google Drive), its own terms also apply. Your files in your Google Drive stay there and are yours, even if you stop using Better Reno.

Liability

We work to keep Better Reno running, accurate and safe, and back it up daily, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable or wrong. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses (such as lost profit) from using Better Reno. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Changes and contact

If these terms change, the date at the top changes and signed-in users are told of any important change. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Questions: [email protected].
